This solution provides complete control over consumption, ensuring optimized management of energy resources and accurate reporting.
A scalable and flexible system, suitable for both small facilities and large industrial complexes.
Real-time overview
View the general status of your facility and monitor in real time the condition of all installed meters through an interactive map and intuitive icons (connection status, energy vector type, cost center).
Detailed reporting
Check daily, monthly, or annual consumption and export the data in Excel format. An intuitive graph allows you to track consumption trends clearly and in detail.
Energy comparison
Compare the consumption of different energy vectors to identify peaks and anomalies. This feature helps you optimize resource allocation and increase overall efficiency.
Excess consumption under control
Receive instant alerts whenever predefined power thresholds are exceeded. This feature is essential to prevent extra costs or service interruptions caused by higher-than-expected power demands.
Unupdated measurements
View a real-time list to diagnose sensor or connection issues. This allows you to take immediate action and ensure continuous monitoring.
Cost centers
Group multiple measurement points into cost centers for more accurate financial reporting. This feature is ideal for allocating costs among departments or business areas, optimizing resource management.
Measurement points
Configure and manage all measurement points, link each one to a cost center, and define roles and access levels. The intuitive management interface keeps your data structure organized and efficient for proper analysis.
Virtual points
Create virtual measurement points to combine data from multiple physical sensors through custom formulas. This feature offers maximum flexibility, allowing you to obtain detailed insights without the need for additional hardware.
Automatic reports
Automatic generation of monthly reports in Excel format, ready to be downloaded or sent by email to the Energy Manager. They include daily and monthly consumption data for each measurement point, ensuring accurate and detailed reporting.

FAQ
What are the system requirements?
EMS richiede Microsoft SQL Server (2019 e successivi) e Ignition (versione 8.1).
To view reports, a spreadsheet software is required (Microsoft Excel or similar).
Which systems and devices is EMS compatible with?
- Connection to physical devices (meters) is ensured by Ignition drivers (OPC-UA, MODBUS, SIEMENS, etc.).
- Connection to company systems such as SCADA, MES, and ERP is achieved through OPC-UA, MQTT, and WebServices.
- Customization options are available through Python / Java to create connections that are not natively supported.
What does the license include?
The EMS license is digital and issued as a unique activation code including:
- EMS software license for the Ignition platform
- Multi-vector monitoring (electricity, methane, water, argon, etc.)
- Automatic monthly reports (Excel + optional email delivery)
- Real-time alarms and notifications
- Cost center and virtual point management
- Unlimited scalability
The license allows installation of the EMS module on a single Ignition server.
Each additional installation (on different servers) requires the purchase of a new license.
The license is non-transferable to third parties without written authorization from CP Sistemi. Copying, reselling, or installing the license on unauthorized servers is strictly prohibited.
What are the limitations of the EMS license?
Copying, reselling, or installing the license on unauthorized servers is strictly prohibited.
The license is non-transferable to third parties without written authorization from CP Sistemi.
Are there any limits for EMS users and access?
There is no limit to the number of users or clients connected to the EMS system; access is governed by Ignition policies and customer configurations.
The license exclusively covers the server running the EMS module.
How does EMS read consumption data?
EMS reads consumption data from Ignition tags. To check whether a meter can be integrated into EMS, verify that its values can be acquired through one of the drivers provided by Ignition.
Can EMS be integrated with existing company systems?
Yes, integration with both the automation world (PLC, SCADA) and the management world (MES, ERP) is guaranteed thanks to Ignition’s flexibility.
Is EMS suitable for multiple sites or just one facility?
EMS is scalable: it can start from a single plant and grow up to thousands of measurement points distributed across multiple industrial sites, while maintaining a single centralized platform.
How often is consumption data collected?
EMS records consumption data every 15 minutes, ensuring accurate and continuous monitoring of energy performance.
How are communication interruptions managed?
The system stores only valid incremental values: if a meter goes offline, the missing consumption data is recovered upon reconnection with no data loss.
What happens when a counter reaches its maximum limit?
EMS automatically manages counter rollovers, preventing errors or false readings.
Does the system manage time-based cost bands?
EMS integrates the power bands defined by the utility provider and monitors average power overruns to prevent penalties.
How does cost reporting work?
Measurement points can be grouped into cost centers, allowing for precise cost allocation across departments or production sites.
What are virtual points?
These are measurements calculated by combining multiple real meters using custom formulas, without the need to install additional hardware.
