The Software License and the Hardware License offer the same features and allow unlimited use of SMSServer in terms of time and number of messages.
The Software License is tied to the hardware of the PC where SMSServer is installed, meaning it cannot be transferred or reused in case of PC failure.
To generate the software license, the MachineID and SiteCode of the target PC will be required.

Where can I find the Site Code and MID?

To complete the purchase request, some information is required:

  • SITE CODE;
  • MACHINE ID (MID);
  • VALID EMAIL to which our support service will send the generated license.

Each time the DEMO version of SMSServer is launched, a window will appear displaying the Site Code and Machine ID (MID). Use the corresponding buttons to copy the values and paste them into the fields above.

Before proceeding with the purchase of the software license, please note that this license is tied to the hardware configuration of the PC. As such, the license may become invalid as a result of any of the following causes:

  • Repeated hardware failures on the PC (e.g., hard disk or network card failure);
  • Modifications to the PC hardware (e.g., adding RAM, expanding the hard disk, etc.);
  • Decommissioning of the PC (e.g., due to the purchase of a newer, more powerful computer).

If the license becomes invalid due to any of the reasons listed above, it will not be possible to recover it, and a new SMSServer license must be purchased in order to use the software again.

If you want to protect yourself against this scenario, you now have the option to choose a hardware-based license instead.
